It’s Election Day 2016. We the People can vote. A Right we should exercise and be proud to. Regardless. It makes America what it is and always will be. I have never experienced any other way of life and I don’t think about it too much.

But maybe I should.

I work with and associate with many people who are not citizens, some live here in the US, others who are outside the US and they do remind me that there are many people around the world that relish what we have here in the US and want it also, regardless of  how bad we think things are.

So if you can, at some point in time, remember what Thomas Jefferson and the Committee of Five put down on paper (or parchment, or goatskin, or whatever):

“…that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Vote. It’s a Right we should exercise and be proud to.
